The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), a civilian agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has awarded a $175 million single-award Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to Westat, Inc., a prominent professional services firm, to serve as the Data Coordinating Center for its International and Domestic Pediatric and Maternal HIV Studies and Other Highly Infectious Diseases program. This IDC has a period of performance through May 31, 2030 and does not utilize any small business set-asides.

Under this IDC, Westat has been awarded several task orders to date. These include: a $2 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order for a Phase I/II proof-of-concept study on very early intensive treatment of HIV-infected infants to achieve HIV remission; a $2.5 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order for an open-label Phase I study on the safety and pharmacokinetics of two monoclonal antibodies in HIV-exposed infants; a $9.4 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order for support services related to the prevention and treatment of HIV among adolescents in resource-constrained settings; a $473,845 cost-plus-fixed-fee task order for data harmonization efforts under the comprehensive care continuum program for HIV-affected adolescents; and a $28.2 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order for support services for NICHD's HIV/AIDS clinical trial networks. Additionally, a $2.2 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order was awarded to conduct a Phase I/II dose-finding, safety, and tolerability study of a tuberculosis prevention treatment in children with and without HIV. All task orders are to be performed at Westat's facilities in Potomac, Maryland.
