The Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (DHS CBP) has awarded a $75 million single-award Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to Tyonek Aircraft Overhaul, LLC, an Alaskan Native Corporation owned small disadvantaged business, to provide operations and sustainment services for CBP's Tactical Airborne Surveillance System (TASS) program through April 2029.
As part of this IDC, CBP has issued a $11,428,341.04 firm fixed price delivery order to Tyonek for establishing new Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) sites in Anchorage, Alaska and providing aerostat support services by April 2025. Tyonek has also been awarded a separate $24.76 million 8(a) sole source IDC to provide aviation support services for the TASS program over 5 years. These contracts demonstrate Tyonek's significant role in supporting CBP's airborne surveillance capabilities and its ability to secure large-scale, long-term contracts with the agency.
