The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the Oregon-Washington Region has awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to Turnstone Environmental Consultants, Inc., a small business environmental consulting firm, to conduct specialized wildlife surveys, primarily for the threatened marbled murrelet seabird. Under this $514,469.98 IDC contract, Turnstone will provide survey, monitoring, data analysis, and reporting services to support BLM's habitat management and environmental compliance requirements across western Oregon. Several delivery orders have been issued to date, valued at $93,724.84, $119,767.13, and $90,630.31, for marbled murrelet surveys in the Mary's Peak, Siuslaw, and Northwest Oregon District Office areas. This work does not have any set-aside designations and will be performed in Salem, Oregon. Turnstone has extensive experience conducting similar wildlife surveys for federal land management agencies in the Pacific Northwest region, including the U.S. Forest Service, to aid in species conservation and land use planning efforts.
The IDC represents the BLM's ongoing need for specialized biological monitoring and survey services to fulfill its environmental stewardship responsibilities. As a prime contractor holding multiple IDV contracts, Turnstone is well-positioned to efficiently provide these critical wildlife survey capabilities to support the agency's habitat management and species protection programs in the region.
