Task orders awarded to date include basement structural repairs valued at $249,621.65, installation of a key cabinet for $44,405, demolition and occupant move out services for $123,236.78, renovation of Building 220 laboratory space for $187,635.43, renovation of rooms in Building 224 for $206,726.44, and a minimum guarantee task order of $2,500. Work locations and periods of performance vary by task order, with the majority to be completed in Gaithersburg by late 2023 or early 2024. Task orders have been awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis without optional set asides.
The original solicitation contemplated general construction services across NIST facilities to support laboratory upgrades, security improvements, and ongoing maintenance needs. Task orders awarded to date align with renovating and upgrading research and laboratory facilities to support the agency's mission to advance measurement science, standards, and technology.
