The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center has awarded a Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) to Freelancer International PTY LTD, a foreign-owned for-profit organization based in Australia. The NOIS3 contract, valued at up to $474,988,000, provides crowdsourcing services and products to multiple NASA centers and other government agencies to support NASA's Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation. The NOIS3 contract allows NASA to engage global talent pools and stimulate innovation through methods such as crowd-based challenges, prize competitions, freelance projects, micro-tasks, and other crowdsourcing approaches. The contract has a base period of 2 years and 4 option years, with a total period of performance through May 2027. The contract was competitively awarded without any small business set-asides. Freelancer International, which also holds the previous NOIS2 contract, will provide a wide range of innovation support services spanning technical expertise, ideation, design, testing, and specialized research across NASA's aeronautics, spaceflight, and biomedical domains.
