The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center has awarded a multiple-award Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) valued at up to $474,988,000 for the NASA Open Innovation Services 3 (NOIS3) program. This GWAC allows NASA and other government agencies to acquire crowdsourcing services and products through contracts with multiple awardees using commercial approaches. The contract scope includes soliciting solutions through crowd-based challenges, prize competitions, freelance projects, micro-tasks, and other crowd-based methods. The NOIS3 GWAC is a commercial item contract without set-asides, with a period of performance running through May 31, 2027. Design Interactive, Inc., a woman-owned small business based in Orlando, Florida, was selected as one of the prime contractors for this GWAC. The NOIS3 GWAC aims to provide NASA's Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation with a flexible, on-demand mechanism to obtain innovative crowdsourced solutions across a wide range of government requirements.
