The 8(a) STARS III GWAC is a $50 billion multiple-award IDIQ contract vehicle set aside for competitive 8(a) firms and administered by the GSA Federal Acquisition Service. New Generation Solution LLC, a minority and woman-owned small business, was awarded a prime position on this GWAC. Through the 8(a) STARS III and other federal IDV contracts, New Generation Solution provides a range of IT services to government agencies including the Departments of the Army, Air Force, Treasury, Health and Human Services, and the Office of Personnel Management. Delivery orders under the 8(a) STARS III GWAC have funded IT services such as help desk support, system delivery, and IT operations and maintenance. New Generation Solution has also been awarded delivery orders under the OASIS and ITES-3 contract vehicles to provide similar IT services. The 8(a) STARS III GWAC allows Ordering Contracting Officers to utilize flexible pricing arrangements including firm-fixed-price, time-and-materials, and labor-hour task orders to meet their IT service needs.
The 8(a) STARS III GWAC solicitation was set aside exclusively for certified 8(a) small business concerns. It aims to provide a contract vehicle for federal agencies to procure customized IT services-based solutions, including emerging technologies, that can be tailored to meet unique mission requirements. The GWAC does not include functional areas tied to specific NAICS codes, and examples of eligible work include data management, IT operations and maintenance, IT security, and software development. The $50 billion contract ceiling will be drawn down as orders are placed, with no fixed allocation to the contract's scope or sub-areas.
