The Department of the Navy Reserve awarded a single award blanket purchase agreement to Coastal Hospitality LLC for temporary berthing services in Gulfport, Mississippi. The prime contractor, doing business as Hampton Inn, received three firm fixed price call contracts against the BPA totaling $14,685 to house sailors from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024. Place of performance will be at Coastal Hospitality's Hampton Inn facilities located at 39503 and 39501 in Gulfport. No set-aside provision was applied. The Navy Reserve aims to utilize BPAs to efficiently meet temporary duty travel lodging needs for its reserve forces through this vehicle. By awarding to a local hotel, the agency can support operations at its Gulfport facility by providing accommodations for personnel conducting readiness and training activities in the area. The structure of the BPA and associated call contracts allows the Navy Reserve flexible housing of sailors on an as-needed basis through the end of FY2024.
The Department of the Navy Reserve provides infrastructure and support to the Navy's reserve component. Through this BPA, the agency can house sailors temporarily assigned to its Gulfport facility on short notice. The use of a blanket agreement with a local hotel streamlines the lodging procurement process compared to individual purchase orders. Coastal Hospitality LLC will leverage its Hampton Inn to provide rooms as required to accommodate the Navy Reserve's Gulfport operations through September 2024.
