About this IDV

The Blanket Purchase Agreement was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service to Aarcher, Inc. to provide cultural resource survey services across multiple national forests and grasslands. Under the single award BPA, valued at up to $7,000,000, Aarcher will conduct regionwide cultural resource surveys in support of the agency's stewardship and multiple use management of public timberlands.

Two task orders have been issued against the BPA to date. The first, valued at $58,080, is for a cultural resource survey in Jackson, Wyoming in support of the Union Pass Timber Sale, with performance through January 2023. The second, valued at $39,139.79, is for a cultural resource inventory in Cedar City, Utah for the Navajo Basin Timber Sale, with performance through December 2021. Both task orders utilize firm fixed-price contracting and were awarded through the General Services Administration Multiple Award Schedule contract vehicle held by Aarcher. No set-aside provisions were applied.

The purpose of the contracted services is to ensure Forest Service compliance with various historic preservation laws as it conducts planned timber harvesting and land management activities. Aarcher will identify and document cultural sites, artifacts, and other resources within the specified project areas.
