The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded a blanket purchase agreement to Prisma International, Inc. to provide foreign language translation and interpretation services. Under the agreement and associated calls, Prisma will support FEMA's emergency preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation missions. Services include translations of documents related to public assistance audits and appeals in Puerto Rico, language services for various FEMA components and disaster operations, and multilingual support for external affairs activities. The total ceiling value across all calls exceeds $10 million. Performance periods range from 6 months to 5 years in locations including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, New York, California, Florida and other states.
The Department of Homeland Security also awarded calls against Prisma's schedule to provide translation services in support of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services asylum program. One call valued at nearly $4 million is for interpreter services to support immigration processes. Collectively the calls aim to ensure FEMA, CISA and USCIS can communicate and operate effectively in multiple languages during domestic incidents and emergencies for which those agencies are responsible.
