The USDA Forest Service has awarded a $35 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to Lighthouse For The Blind, operating through its division LHB Industries, to provide tree marking paint and associated forestry supplies. As the prime contractor, Lighthouse For The Blind will deliver specialized paints, tracers, and kits to support the Forest Service's sustainable management of National Forest System lands across multiple regions, including the Eastern, Southern, Rocky Mountain, and Northern regions.
Under the BPA, the Forest Service has placed numerous firm fixed price call orders with Lighthouse For The Blind, valued at over $1.5 million, to fulfill requirements for timber marking paint, tracer paint, and other forestry supplies at locations in 16 states. The products are used by the Forest Service for selective harvesting, replanting, and silvicultural activities. The BPA does not have a set-aside designation and allows the Forest Service to rapidly procure these commonly used forestry supplies through April 2025 to support its natural resource stewardship and conservation mission.
