About this IDV
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration awarded a Basic Ordering Agreement valued at up to $318.1 million to American Medical Response, Inc. to provide COVID-19 emergency national staffing services. Three delivery orders have been issued against the BOA to date, totaling over $14 million, for medical staffing support in Baltimore, Maryland; Seattle, Washington; and additional locations.
Under the terms of the BOA and subsequent firm fixed price delivery orders, American Medical Response will leverage its emergency medical services expertise to support the VA's coronavirus response efforts. Services include providing emergency medical technicians, medical staffing resources, and related COVID-19 emergency national staffing to VA medical centers and Veterans Integrated Service Networks 5 and 12. Performance periods range from 6 to 18 months to address increased healthcare demand stemming from the pandemic through June 2022. Places of performance include Baltimore, Seattle, and other locations nationwide.
As the nation's largest not-for-profit provider of emergency medical services, American Medical Response is well positioned to assist the VA in fulfilling its mission of serving veterans by addressing critical medical staffing needs during the ongoing public health emergency. The BOA establishes an efficient contracting vehicle for the VA to secure additional clinical resources and flexibly respond to the evolving situation through further task orders as required.
