This Project Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), under the Promotion of the Humanities Public Programs program (CFDA 45.164), provides $198,971 to the Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation to support public archaeology and history programming from October 2021 through December 2022. The Foundation will enhance on-site and digital experiences at the Jamestown archaeological site in Virginia. Specifically, the funding will sustain nine staff positions to develop new self-guided tours of the on-site archaeology museum, expand the Foundation's "Digital Rediscovery" online platform with two additional history video series, and plan updated children's programming incorporating pandemic safety protocols. The products and services are intended to benefit the general public through both in-person and virtual access to the historic Jamestown site and its artifacts and history. No sub-awards are indicated.
