The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration awarded a $509,163 Project Grant to Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin under the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (CFDA 64.055). The grant provides funding for the organization to deliver comprehensive suicide prevention services and mental health support to veterans and their families in Wisconsin.

The funding supports a public health approach that combines community-based prevention with evidence-based clinical strategies to address veteran suicide risk, aligning with the VA's National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide. The one-year grant period runs from September 30, 2024 to September 30, 2025.

Suicide prevention grants are awarded to eligible entities to meet the needs of eligible individuals and their families through outreach, provision or coordination of suicide prevention services, and connection to VA and community resources as described in 38 CFR part 78
