Endeavor veteran program (equine - assisted services programming for veterans)

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Under Secretary for Health awarded $270,270 through the VA Grants for Adaptive Sports Programs for Disabled Veterans and Disabled Members of the Armed Forces (CFDA 64.034) to Equine Assisted Growth And Learning Association (Eagala) for the Endeavor Veteran Program. The award, dated September 30, 2025, supports a one-year project period through September 30, 2026, and funds equine-assisted therapy services delivered in South Carolina to eligible veterans and service members with disabilities.

Eagala will provide equine-assisted psychotherapy services utilizing its proprietary EAGALA Model methodology to address mental health conditions affecting veterans, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries, and suicidal ideation. The grant funding supports direct provision of equine therapy services to veteran participants as well as professional training for Veterans Affairs staff and veteran participants in the EAGALA Model. This represents the fifth consecutive project grant award to the organization since 2021, demonstrating sustained federal confidence in the organization's capacity to deliver adaptive sports and mental health rehabilitation programming for disabled veterans.
