The Department of State Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs awarded a $327,000 project grant to the United States Israel Educational Foundation to support public education, scholarly analysis and research, and academic visits between Israeli and U.S. scholars. This award falls under the Investing in People in The Middle East and North Africa federal grant program (CFDA 19.021), which supports cultural, educational, alumni, information and media efforts in the region. Specifically, the Foundation will use the three-year award ending September 2024 to fund Israeli scholars' government, economic and societal research on the United States, as well as bring U.S. academics to Israel through visits. The program aims to actively promote public diplomacy objectives through such educational and cultural exchange initiatives.
