Office of women's business ownership

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded a $150,000 Project Grant to Grow Nebraska, a non-profit organization and foundation based in Kearney, Nebraska, under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance Program (CFDA 59.043). This grant, with an award date of September 30, 2023 and a planned completion date of September 29, 2024, will enable Grow Nebraska to provide entrepreneurial training, counseling, and technical assistance services to small businesses, microenterprises, cooperatives, and women-owned businesses across Nebraska. The SBA's Office of Entrepreneurial Development administers the Women's Business Ownership Assistance Program, which aims to remove discriminatory barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing capital, markets, management, and other critical resources for business growth. This award builds upon Grow Nebraska's previous federal grant funding from the SBA and U.S. Department of Agriculture, totaling over $700,000, to deliver a comprehensive suite of entrepreneurial development programs and services in both urban and rural communities across the state.
