Office of women's business ownership

This $150,000 Project Grant awarded on September 30, 2023 by the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Entrepreneurial Development under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance program (CFDA 59.043) will fund Anewamerica Community Corporation, a non-profit organization located in Berkeley, California, to provide training, counseling, and other direct assistance activities targeted at empowering women-owned small businesses. The goal of the program is to remove discriminatory barriers faced by women entrepreneurs in accessing financial, managerial, and technical resources. Anewamerica will leverage this grant funding to deliver skills development, capacity building, and business support services to women business owners in Oakland and other regions of California, building on the organization's past performance in implementing similar projects under this SBA program.
