FY23 congressional community project funding ventures

The Small Business Administration's Office of the Chief Operating Officer awarded a $200,000 Congressional Community Project Funding Ventures grant to Ventures, doing business as the Washington Community Alliance For Self-Help, a nonprofit organization. The grant, funded under the Congressional Grants program (CFDA 59.059), will support Ventures' efforts to provide training, technical assistance, and access to capital to help low-income entrepreneurs start and grow small businesses in Seattle, WA. Ventures has a history of delivering programmatic activities aligned with this mission, including providing technical assistance and capacity building to microentrepreneurs, establishing small dollar loan programs, and operating business incubators and accelerators targeting socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. This grant will enable Ventures to continue its work in fostering entrepreneurship and supporting small business growth in the local community.
