Women's business development center: continuations option year 2 (r-2020)

The Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) was awarded a $150,000 Project Grant from the Small Business Administration's Office of Entrepreneurial Development under the Women's Business Ownership Assistance federal grant program (CFDA 59.043). The grant period runs from September 30, 2022 through September 29, 2023.

The funding will support WBDC's continued delivery of training and counseling services to assist small businesses owned and operated by women. As the CFDA description notes, the Women's Business Ownership Assistance program aims to help remove discriminatory barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing resources. WBDC will utilize the grant to provide these entrepreneurship support services to female business owners in Chicago, Illinois, helping advance the Small Business Administration's mission of promoting equal access to contracting opportunities.
