This federal Project Grant award, valued at $279,594, was provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) under the Promotion of the Humanities Research program (CFDA 45.161). The grant supports the CAORC-NEH FPIRI Research Fellowship Program, which enables American scholars to conduct long-term research at American Overseas Research Centers (ORCs) in strategically important regions such as Latin America, North and West Africa, Central and Southeast Asia, and the South Caucasus. The program allows scholars to engage in in-depth scholarly inquiry on understudied topics in these regions. The grant has a period of performance from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028, and is administered by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), a non-profit organization that facilitates international educational and cultural exchange initiatives.
