Description
The regulating reservoirs were originally built with asphalt slope protection and clay bottoms, both of which have been degraded. The project is expected to result in annual water savings of 438 acre-feet, which is currently seeping into the regions salty shallow groundwater. Conserved water will be used to reduce the districts demand on water from the state water project.
