ESTABLISHING AN ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING PROGRAM AT THE MOTOWN MUSEUM [MOTOWN COLLECTIONS AND FACILITIES STAFF WILL WORK WITH PRESERVATION ENVIRONMENT SPECIALISTS FROM THE IMAGE PERMANENCE INSTITUTE (IPI) TO EVALUATE THE PRESERVATION QUALITY OF ITS COLLECTION STORAGE FACILITY AND TWO HISTORIC HOUSES CONTAINING ONE-OF-A-KIND ARTIFACTS WHICH DOCUMENT THE HISTORY OF MOTOWN RECORDS. THE DATA COLLECTED OVER ONE YEAR WILL BE ANALYZED TO ESTABLISH RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVING THE MUSEUM?S PRESERVATION ENVIRONMENT AND PROGRAM.
