THE GPA ENCOMPASSES A GENERAL EVALUATION OF OUR ARCHIVE?S PRESERVATION NEEDS: BUILDING, ENVIRONMENT (TEMPERATURE, RELATIVE HUMIDITY, POLLUTION AND LIGHT), HOUSEKEEPING, PEST CONTROL, FIRE PROTECTION, SECURITY, AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS; COLLECTION STORAGE, HANDLING, EXHIBITION, AND TREATMENT; AND PRESERVATION PLANNING.
