The Energy Coordinating Agency of Philadelphia, Inc. (ECA), a non-profit organization, has been awarded a $1,999,231.55 Project Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control under the Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program (CFDA 14.900). This multi-year grant, with a performance period from September 1, 2023 to March 1, 2027, will support ECA's efforts to identify and control lead-based paint hazards in privately-owned low- and very low-income housing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The primary objectives are to protect children under the age of six from lead poisoning through activities such as inspections, risk assessments, interim controls, and abatement of lead-based paint hazards.
