Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) received a $272,364 Project Grant award effective September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026, from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education under the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program (CFDA 84.042). The program delivers comprehensive supportive services designed to enhance retention and graduation rates for disadvantaged, low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities at CCCC's Sanford, North Carolina campus.

Under this award, CCCC provides academic support, financial literacy education, and student success services to eligible participants, with the primary objectives of increasing postsecondary degree completion and facilitating transfer pathways from two-year to four-year institutions. The SSS Program focuses on building students' academic potential and overall educational outcomes while addressing the needs of underserved populations in the college's service area encompassing Lee, Chatham, and Harnett Counties. This one-year project grant supports CCCC's broader mission of workforce development and educational equity through targeted interventions that enhance student success and economic self-sufficiency.
