Trio SSS program at pellissippi state

Pellissippi State Community College received a Project Grant award of $306,514 from the Office of Postsecondary Education (Department of Education) for the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program (CFDA 84.042), effective September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026. The award supports the delivery of comprehensive student support services designed to enhance postsecondary educational outcomes for disadvantaged students, including low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities enrolled at the institution.

Under this award, Pellissippi State will provide supportive services focused on increasing student retention and graduation rates, improving academic performance, enhancing financial literacy, and facilitating successful transfers from two-year to four-year institutions. These services are intended to strengthen the academic potential and overall success of participating students in higher education, thereby supporting the broader federal objective of increasing postsecondary education access and completion for underserved populations.
