Austin Community College District (ACC) received a $272,364 Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education under the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program (CFDA 84.042) on September 25, 2025. The award supports ACC's TRIO Disabled SSS Program through September 24, 2026, delivering comprehensive supportive services designed to enhance retention and graduation rates for college students with disabilities and other disadvantaged populations.
The program provides on-campus academic support services including tutoring, academic advising, career counseling, and financial aid assistance to eligible students at ACC's Austin, Texas campus. These services are designed to increase the potential for successful completion of postsecondary education programs, facilitate student transfer from two-year to four-year institutions, and foster an institutional climate supporting the success of students with disabilities and other underrepresented populations. The TRIO SSS program operates on five-year grant cycles with annual continuation awards subject to fund availability and demonstrated progress toward program objectives.
