Front Range Community College received a $272,364 Project Grant from the Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education on September 25, 2025, under the TRIO Student Support Services program (CFDA 84.042). This five-year grant supports the Larmier Campus SSS initiative, which provides comprehensive supportive services designed to enhance academic success and increase retention and graduation rates for disadvantaged college students. The program delivers on-campus tutoring, academic advising, career counseling, financial aid assistance, and workshops to low-income students, first-generation college students, students with disabilities, and other underrepresented populations at the Westminster, Colorado campus.
The TRIO SSS program aims to foster institutional climate improvements that support student success while increasing transfer rates from two-year to four-year institutions. Services also strengthen financial and economic literacy for participating students. The grant supports service delivery to an estimated cohort of disadvantaged students through evidence-based support mechanisms, with annual continuation awards subject to fund availability and demonstrated progress toward project objectives through the grant's five-year period.
