Dyersburg State Community College received a $272,364 Project Grant award dated September 1, 2025, from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education to support the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program (CFDA 84.042). The award funds comprehensive supportive services designed to enhance educational outcomes for disadvantaged students, including low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities. Through this one-year project period (concluding August 31, 2026), the college will deliver academic support, financial literacy education, and student success services to increase retention and graduation rates while facilitating student transfers from two-year to four-year institutions.

The SSS Program at Dyersburg State Community College directly supports the institution's demonstrated commitment to serving diverse student populations and improving postsecondary completion. These targeted services address the specific barriers faced by disadvantaged students, enhancing their academic potential and overall success in higher education. The program represents a continuation of the college's engagement with federal TRIO initiatives, as evidenced by its receipt of multiple award cycles under this program.
