Description

Expected outcomes
Medina county public transit is currently working to leverage technology to improve dispatch/driver communications and data collection methods required by the FTA and ODOT for reporting compliance. We have partnered with noaca to secure funding to purchase and install onboard mobile data terminals (samsung tablets) and tripspark (drivermate) software for integration with current tripspark (novus) scheduling software. Our agency has received requests from our local agencies and public passengers regarding bus shelters from the adverse elements. This project will provide improved safety and security at key passenger waiting areas and transfer points.

The accessibility improvements will support the noaca human transportation service plan for medina county by providing passenger transfer point shelters and security enhancements.
Subrecipient activities
With these communication and accessibility projects we will see greater transit service satisfaction and potentially additional ridership in our community.included in the application are the stip approval letter stip project listings and the northeast ohio areawide coordinating agency human transportation services plan.
