Description
Texas association against sexual assault assessment of capacity to implement and support implementation of effective sexual violence primary prevention efforts that advance health equity - the texas association against sexual assault (taasa) will develop and complete a comprehensive assessment of the organization's capacity to implement and support implementation through training and technical assistance about effective sexual violence primary prevention efforts focused on advancing health equity. The assessment will include identification of available data and gaps in texas-specific data related to populations disproportionately affected by sexual violence and health disparities, and assessment of the capacity of current partnerships. The capacity assessment will be developed by combining feedback and information from organizations working with and individuals from populations disproportionately affected by sexual violence and health disparities (including youth and black, indigenous, and people of color [bipoc] communities), current partner organizations, taasa staff, and existing evidence-based capacity assessments. The assessment will be used to develop recommendations and implementation actions that will increase taasa's capacity. Key outcomes will include: 1) increased understanding of staff expertise and available resources; 2) increased understanding of available data sources used to identify population(s) and communities of focus; 3) increased understanding of current partnerships, and how these partnerships are/are not meeting the current and future primary prevention and health equity needs; 4) increased understanding of current technical assistance provision and how well IT incorporates health equity; and 5) increased taasa prevention staff capacity to provide technical assistance and training on implementation of SV primary prevention efforts that incorporate health equity, and implement SV primary prevention efforts that incorporate health equity.
