HIIPAKA LLC WILL DESIGN AND FABRICATE A MULTI-SENSUAL MUSEUM EXHIBIT AT A RESTORED TRADITIONAL HAWAIIAN LIVING SITE IN WAIMEA VALLEY, FEATURING SEVEN HALE (TRADITIONAL HOUSES OR STRUCTURES) STAGED WITH TRADITIONAL IMPLEMENTS AND AUDIO RECORDINGS OF DAILY LIFE, HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE, AND EXPOSITORY NARRATION. PROJECT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE ENGAGING LOCAL ARTISANS TO REPRODUCE TRADITIONAL TOOLS FOR DISPLAY IN THE RESTORED HALE AS WELL AS DRAFTING AND RECORDING AUDIO NARRATIVES FOR THE HALE.
