THIS GRANT PROVIDES 100% FEDERAL SECTION 5307 ARPA FUNDS FOR OPERATING ASSISTANCE TO BMTA IN THE AMOUNT OF $3112231 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022. THERE IS NO STATE OR LOCAL SHARE. 1. PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AWARD IS TO PROVIDE OPERATING ASSISTANCE FOR FY2022 (OCTOBER 1 2021 - SEPTEMBER 30 2022) TO CONTINUE DEMAND RESPONSE AND FIXED ROUTE SERVICE. 2. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: THE FUNDS WILL BE USED TO COVER ALL ELIGIBLE EXPENSES SUCH AS SALARIES AND FUEL AS WELL AS TO ASSIST IN HIRING AND RETAINING DRIVERS TO ADDRESS THE EMPLOYEE SHORTAGE.
