THE DENVER ZOO WILL IMPLEMENT TWO INTERRELATED DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION INITIATIVES. THE FIRST WILL ADVANCE ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN ZOOKEEPING FOR TRADITIONALLY UNDERREPRESENTED STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS. THE SECOND WILL CREATE INCLUSIVE RECRUITMENT, HIRING AND RETENTION PRACTICES TO REACH TARGET AUDIENCES.
