The Movimiento De Arte Y Cultura Latino Americana was awarded a $578,500 Project Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Museums for America (CFDA 45.301) program to develop visual arts exhibitions and related public programming to engage people in civic dialogue. The 3-year grant, which runs from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2027, will support the creation of 12 major visual art exhibitions showcasing up to 200 contemporary Latino artists, expand public programs to enhance cultural opportunities, and reach an estimated 60,000 community members through 55 public events. The goal of the project is to deepen the understanding and appreciation of Latino art and culture.
