The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden received a $386,093 Project Grant award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) under the Museums for America (MFA) program. The grant will enable the botanical garden to address recommendations from a Collections Assessment for Preservation (CAP) report by replacing the aging environmental monitoring system, louvers/shades, and greenhouse misting system. These infrastructure upgrades will help the garden continue protecting, preserving, and expanding its botanical collection, including threatened taxa, to support the organization's mission of horticultural excellence and community engagement. The project activities are expected to be completed by February 2026.
