Description

These interactive elements, created hand-in-hand with their intended audiences, will help the ZOO provide a more welcoming and engaging environment for all visitors. New elements will include moving beyond text-only exhibit signage to accommodate the specific needs of the deaf/hard of hearing, blind/low vision communities, and people with mobility, cognitive, and sensory disabilities. ZOO staff will host listening sessions with individuals, government officials, stakeholders, and disability organizations to identify the exhibits that would benefit from additional interpretive elements.
