APPLICATION PURPOSE: NICTD IS REQUESTING $738884 OF FFY 2021 ARPA APPORTIONMENT FUNDING UNDER CHICAGO UZA 3. THESE FUNDS WILL HELP OFFSET GENERAL FUND COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH NICTDS ANNUAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE WORK.; ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: THIS GRANT WILL HAVE ONE PROJECT FINANCING NICTDS PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE WORK ASSOCIATED WITH THE RIGHT OF WAY MAINTENANCE (BRIDGES STATIONS AND FACILITIES TRACK ELECTRICAL AND SIGNAL SYSTEMS) AS WELL AS MAINTENANCE OF NICTDS EQUIPMENT PASSENGER VEHICLES AND SUPPORT VEHICLES. THIS FUNDING WILL BE USED TO FINANCE IN PART THE DIRECT LABOR COSTS OF THESE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROJECTS AS WELL AS ELIGIBLE PURCHASES ASSOCIATED WITH THE MAINTENANCE. THIS GRANT WILL NOT PURCHASE ANY REVENUE VEHICLES.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THIS GRANT WILL RESULT IN THE CONTINUED WORK BY NICTD OF MAINTAINING OUR REVENUE FLEET AS WELL AS THE RIGHT OF WAY IN WHICH WE OPERATE COMMUTER RAIL SERVICE.; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: NICTDS WORK WILL BENEFIT THE SERVICE PROVIDED TO COMMUTERS ON OUR SERVICE. ALL WORK UNDER THIS GRANT WILL ASSIST IN NICTD CONTINUING TO PROVIDE SAFE AND RELIABLE SERVICE FOR BOTH PASSENGERS AND STAFF.; SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: NICTD DOES NOT HAVE ANY SUBRECIPIENTS.
