THIS GRANT PROVIDES $24108 OF FFY 2021 OPERATING ASSISTANCE TO THE NON-PROFIT SUBRECIPIENT MISSING PIECES CDC AND THE FOR-PROFIT SUBRECIPIENT ROYAL TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PERIOD OF APRIL 1 2022 THROUGH AUGUST 1 2023 AND $25280 FOR ADMINISTRATION FOR THE EVANSVILLE MPO. THE LOCAL SHARE FOR OPERATING IN THE AMOUNT OF $24108 WILL BE PROVIDED BY MISSING PIECES CDC AND ROYAL TRANSPORTATION. PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS APPLICATION IS TO PROVIDE 1.5 YEARS OF OPERATING ASSISTANCE FOR MISSING PIECES CDC AND ROYAL TRANSPORTATION TO CREATE NEW SERVICES THAT AIM TO INCREASE OPTIONS FOR SENIORS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH A DISABILITY TO GET TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AND FUND ADMINISTRATION ACTIVITIES BY THE EVANSVILLE MPO.ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: OPERATING FUNDS WILL BE USED TO COVER ALL ELIGIBLE OPERATING EXPENSES SUCH AS DRIVER SALARIES FUEL INSURANCE AND OTHER ITEMS HAVING A USEFUL LIFE OF LESS THAN ONE YEAR. ADMINISTRATION FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR ADMINISTRATION OF THE SECTION 5310 PROGRAM BY THE MPO.EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THE EXPECTED OUTCOME IS A DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF MISSED APPOINTMENTS AND GETTING THOSE MOST IN NEED TO THEIR MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS. THE GOAL IS THAT THESE SERVICES RELY LESS ON SECTION 5310 FUNDING OVER TIME DUE TO ITS SUCCESS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS SEEING THE NEED TO HELP FUND THESE SERVICES IN ORDER TO CONTINUE THEM FOR MANY YEARS. INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: THE INTENDED BENEFICIARIES ARE SENIORS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH A DISABILITY THAT HAVE A DIFFICULTY IN GETTING TO SCHEDULED AND MUCH NEEDED MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS.
