The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Community Health Centers program (CFDA 93.224), awarded a $595,024 project grant to Scenic Bluffs Community Health Center, a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving underserved communities in western and southwestern Wisconsin. The grant funding will be used to expand access to integrated behavioral health services, including adding four licensed counselors, a registered nurse, psychiatry consultation, behavioral health care coordinators, recovery coaches, and a patient access coordinator to address social determinants of health. The proposed program will expand services at the center's existing locations in Cashton, Norwalk, and La Crosse, as well as increase school-based behavioral health services in targeted school districts across four rural counties with high levels of socioeconomic disadvantage. The project period runs from Sep 1, 2024 to Aug 31, 2026.
