The Department of Health and Human Services' Health Resources and Services Administration awarded a $1,100,000 Project Grant to Windrose Health Network, Inc. under the Community Health Centers (CFDA 93.224) program. This funding will enable Windrose Health Network to expand access to behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services in its service area in central Indiana.
Specifically, the grant will support the hiring of additional clinical staff, including therapists with SUD expertise, psychiatric nurse practitioners, certified recovery specialists, and community health workers. This expanded workforce will increase patient access to counseling, therapy, and psychiatric services, improve care coordination between primary care and behavioral health providers, and enhance screening, referral, and treatment for substance use disorders. The grant will also fund group support services and assistance with social determinants of health to improve the overall mental health and wellbeing of the communities served by Windrose Health Network. The project period runs from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2026.
