Description
As the only federally qualified health center in a county designated as a medically underserved area, yavapai county community health services' programming (hrsa grant H80CS00842) is paramount to meeting the needs of all residents and to meeting the needs of the medically underserved, high-risk and vulnerable populations, low-income groups, populations with limited english proficiency, and uninsured individuals. Yavapai county community health services will onboard support staff for the behavioral health services expansion, including certified medical assistants and care coordinators to support ongoing programming needs. For clinical care, a contracted service will be onboarded, offering behavioral health, psychiatric services, and management of medications for opioid use disorder. Yavapai county community health services' 2023 uniform data system report lists 280 unduplicated patients who received mental health services and zero patients receiving substance use disorder services. As part of the behavioral health services expansion, yavapai county community health services anticipates seeing a significant increase in the number of patients who will receive mental health services, with a three to five time increase in the 2025 uniform data system, or 840-1,400 unique patients served for mental health services. Substance use disorder services will be improved and expanded to identify patients in need and to encourage patients to utilize this service. Yavapai county community health services anticipates a modest startup goal of 120-240 unique patients treated under substance use disorder services for the 2025 uniform data system.
