One Community Health, a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in the Pacific Northwest, has been awarded a $500,000 Project Grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Community Health Centers program (CFDA 93.224). This funding will allow One Community Health to increase operational hours at 3 of its 5 main clinics and expand capacity at 2 additional locations to improve access to high-quality primary care services for underserved communities in its service area. Key initiatives include adding Saturday hours at an express clinic, Sunday hours at a clinic in Washington, and expanded mobile medical unit services, as well as early morning pediatric care and Saturday gynecology-focused services at two of its main clinics. These enhancements are designed to meet the needs of the medically underserved populations, including low-income individuals, migrant seasonal farmworkers, and American Indians, that One Community Health serves in the rural Hood River and Wasco counties in Oregon and Klickitat and Skamania counties in Washington. The project period for this federal grant award is from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2026.
