The East Hill Medical Center in Auburn, New York was awarded a $500,000 per year Project Grant under the Community Health Centers (CFDA 93.224) Federal Grant Program, administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The two-year grant, awarded on December 1, 2024, will enable East Hill Medical Center to expand its primary care and dental services by increasing operating hours at three clinic locations. Specifically, the grant will support extending adult primary care hours to 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Thursday, and expanding pediatric primary care hours to 8 AM to 6 PM four days per week. Additionally, the project will enhance dental services by adding a dentist, dental assistant, and dental technicians, as well as in-house 3D printing technology. These expanded clinical hours and enhanced services aim to improve healthcare access for the underserved populations in Cayuga County, including Medicaid recipients, uninsured individuals, children, adolescents, justice-involved persons, housing-vulnerable populations, LGBTQIA+ communities, BIPOC individuals, first responders, and veterans.
