The initiative expands implementation of the Zero Suicide Framework across Westbrook Health System to strengthen suicide prevention for adults in eight rural West Virginia counties. Over five years, the project serves 150 adults and builds workforce capacity while implementing all seven Zero Suicide elements. Delivery includes evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention, brief CBT, collaborative assessment and management of suicidality, SafeTalk, ASIST, CALM, and critical incident stress management. The initiative strengthens suicide screening, care coordination, treatment, care transitions, and quality improvement while engaging community partners, veterans, and emergency responders. Expected outcomes include reduced suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and suicide deaths, and a sustainable systemwide suicide prevention program. The period of performance runs from September 30, 2026, through September 29, 2031. Place of performance is Parkersburg, West Virginia.
