The Brevard Behavioral Health Expansion (BBHE) project, funded by a $1,000,000 grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) under the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances (CFDA 93.104) program, aims to increase access to evidence-based mental health treatment and services for children, youth, and young adults involved in or at risk of child welfare involvement. Additionally, the project will increase the inclusion of child/youth and family voice, improve collaboration among child-serving systems, and expand data collection for continuous improvement. The grant recipient is the County of Brevard's Housing and Human Services Division, and the project will be implemented in Melbourne, Florida over a 4-year period ending on September 29, 2028.
