Description

We remain the primary arts organization in seattle solely focused on underserved adults, i.e., no- to low-income adults in recovery from trauma like substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health challenges. Our arts recovery project has: arts education: 55+ quarterly art classes and workshops. Access art: 40+ weekly group outings to arts and cultural performance, exhibitions, and lectures. 12+ exhibitions and showcases: quarterly public exhibitions and curated performances. Community connections: place- based arts engagement opportunities that bring disparate communities together through the transformative vehicle of the arts. Our individually-based, community-engaged programming, utilizes the arts as a tool through which participant artists gain new artistic skills, develop renewed confidence and stability, actively problem-solve, and meaningfully engage in greater community.
