SUMMARY: PROJECT RECOVERY WILL PROVIDE A DIRECT AND IMMEDIATE PATH TO TREATMENT FOR PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM A SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER. INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TREATMENT CAN WALK INTO AN AUGUSTA FIRE STATION AND REQUEST AN ASSESSMENT FOR ADMISSION INTO PROJECT RECOVERY. THE PROJECT RECOVERY PROGRAM DIRECTOR WILL WORK WITH INDIVIDUALS IDENTIFIED WITH SUD TREATMENT NEEDS TO DETERMINE THE BEST COURSE TO ACCESS THE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT RESOURCES. THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR AND TRAINED VOLUNTEERS WILL WORK WITH THE INDIVIDUAL THROUGH THE TREATMENT PROCESS, HELP HIM OR HER WITH REINTEGRATION INTO THE COMMUNITY, AND PROVIDE FOLLOW UP TO TRACK PROGRESS, OFFER RESOURCES, AND COLLECT DATA ON PROGRAM OUTCOMES.
