Old stone house - witness to war - the battle of brooklyn [the old stone house of brooklyn (OSH) is requesting a $60,000 exhibition planning grant from the NEH?s public humanities projects program to support an expansion of our permanent exhibit, old stone house ? Witness to war - the battle of brooklyn. An accessibility renovation to be completed in spring 2027 will increase our exhibition space and provide an opportunity to update the current permanent exhibit and develop an on-line interactive exhibit that will be available on the OSH website and through bloomberg connects. The exhibit focuses on the battle of brooklyn, the largest battle of the american revolutionary war, which took place on august 27, 1776 at the museum site. OSH is a daily memorial to the maryland regiment ? Commonly known as the maryland 400 ? That, through their military valor and sacrifice, saved the nascent american army at the outset of the war.]
